Luggage Storage at Rome Fiumicino Airport: Options, Prices & Better Alternatives

The official left-luggage office is in Terminal 3, Arrivals level (follow signs for "Deposito Bagagli"). It operates daily from 6:30 AM to 11:30 PM. You'll need to present a valid ID and go through a security screening of your bags.

Airport storage starts at €7 per bag for the first 5 hours, then €1 per hour up to 12 hours. After 12 hours, it's a flat €17/day per bag. For a couple travelling with 2 bags stored for 8 hours, that's roughly €24 total — not exactly budget-friendly.

It's right there at the airport — no extra travel needed. Bags go through security screening, and the service is run by an authorised operator. If you only have a 2-3 hour layover and don't plan to leave the airport, it's the most practical option.

Price is the biggest downside — it adds up fast, especially with multiple bags. Queues can be long during peak season (June-September). The service closes at 11:30 PM, so it won't work for very late flights. And if your terminal is T1 or T2, you'll need to walk to T3.

Rome city centre is about 30-50 minutes from Fiumicino depending on your transport choice. The Leonardo Express train is the fastest at 32 minutes to Termini station, from where our Colosseum location is a 15-minute walk or 2 Metro stops.
